McKinney Fire Fighters Association Endorses Loughmiller and Brooks

The McKinney Fire Fighters Association has endorsed Brian Loughmiller for mayor of McKinney and David Brooks for the at-large McKinney City Council seat.
“We are confident that the voters and taxpayers of McKinney will be well served by the leadership of these two gentlemen on the McKinney City Council. Both have demonstrated an understanding of the issues facing McKinney and are committed to keeping McKinney moving in the right direction,” said Steve Dorris, President of the McKinney Fire Fighters Association.
Loughmiller, a resident of McKinney for 23 years, is the former District council member and former Mayor Pro Tem.
Brooks, a business owner in McKinney for 20 years, has a long history of community and civic involvement, including serving five years as the president of the McKinney ISD Board of Trustees, as well as service on the McKinney Economic Development Corporation's Board of Directors and on the McKinney Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Dorris said.
Brooks is currently the Chairman and CEO of McKinney-based Independent Bank Group, which currently operates 20 Independent Bank locations spanning across north and central Texas.
Early voting for the election begins Mon., April 27 and will continue through May 5. Election Day voting will be held 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 9 and voters must vote in their precincts on Election Day.
