Hikers hit the trails at the Heard Museum to benefit local non-profits
The Heard Museum and Volunteer McKinney Center recently teamed up to help raise funds for people’s favorite non-profit organizations on March 28.
The participants hiked on a half mile, 1 mile, or one-and-a-half mile trails and experienced the Heard sanctuary while supporting the community during the family event to raise money for many local non-profits organizations in McKinney and that support all of Collin County.
The following non-profits received donations from the event: American Red Cross, North Collin County Habitat for Humanity, Mane Gate, Visiting Nurse Association, Collin County Community Aging, Turning Point, McKinney Christian Academy, Consumer Credit North Texas, Chestnut Square, The Samaritan Inn, McKinney Education Foundation, Mothers Against Drunk Driving North Texas and Crape Myrtle Trails of McKinney. The Heard Museum is located at 1 Nature Place, McKinney. For more information, call 972-562-5566 www.heardmuseum.org.
