The city of McKinney releases no new non-residential, or commercial and industrial, building permits in November, which is the first time the city hasn't released any commercial building permits in the last two years in November.

The city did release 36 new single family building permits in November, according to the Development Services Division monthly report that is usually issued on the tenth day of each month. The new single family building permits have a total of $11,615,181 in construction dollars, according to the report.

The city issued new non-residential building permits that totaled approximately $2,000 in new construction dollars in 2007 and issued non-residential building permits that totaled approximately $75,000 in new construction dollars in 2006.

However, last November the city issued non-residential permits that totaled $30,000, when the country was not officially in an economic recession as it currently is.
